NGPC June Meeting

Our speaker will be professional photographer Robin Davis, who will be presenting “Beyond the Thirds.” The title refers to the many elements and principals of composition that go far beyond the limitations of “The Rule of Thirds.” Robin Davis will present these ideas along with illustrations and visual examples. According to Robin, “The joy of photography is slowing down and really seeing ALL of the elements in our shot, AS we are making the photograph. These creative decisions, even the little ones, can make all the difference between an acceptable shot, or a really great one! Seeing the true shapes and lines, forms and colors that build our photographs is where the fun begins!” Robin is known for her evocative portraits and photographic narratives that resonate with mood, personality and place. Using simple techniques in the most creative ways she empowers her students to build their own visual vocabularies.
