NGPC July Meeting: Jeff Milsteen: Travel Photography – Beyond the Snapshot

Our speaker will be professional photographer Jeff Milsteen, who will be discussing “Travel Photography: Beyond the Snapshot.” Yes, one day we will be travelling again! Join Jeff for an educational, entertaining, and in-depth look at travel photography. In addition to offering plenty of tips and techniques to improve your travel images, Jeff will talk generally about planning for your trip, deciding what equipment to take, and ways to approach composition that will improve your photography and help you get “beyond the snapshot.”
Jeff has been an avid photographic enthusiast for over 30 years. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions, most recently in a solo exhibition at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta entitled “Shuttered: The Art of Abandoned Places.” He is a past president and five-time Photographer of the Year of the Southeastern Photographic Society, and a frequent speaker and judge for photography clubs in metro Atlanta. In addition, Jeff is an instructor on photography-related subjects at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Emory University.
