Gibbs Gardens Field Trip

September 9, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

We will meet at the outdoor dining tables located past the main entrance / gift shop, near the Arbor Café. This is also where we’ll meet for lunch later.
Ticket Prices: Adults (18-64 years old): $25; Seniors (65+) $18. You may buy your ticket(s) either on-line or at the door. (If you love the place, consider season tickets – a great deal for repeat visitors.)
Our field trip leader, Judy Ghormley (Cobb Photographic Society), invites you to JOIN US at this photographer’s paradise with over 300 acres of rolling topography, highlighted by beautiful streams, ponds, waterfalls, mature trees, and countless varieties of flowering plants, ferns, and shrubs. There are a total of 16 different gardens including 3 feature gardens, the Manor House, Japanese and Waterlily Gardens. Highlights include the Monet Bridge and numerous sculptures and bridges throughout the gardens. Flowers anticipated to be in bloom will include encore azaleas, roses, hydrangeas, ferns, numerous annuals and perennials, wildflowers, and the Gibbs Garden signature waterlilies.
This is a joint field trip for the CPS and NGPC. Wear comfortable walking shoes for lots of walking and dress for the weather. The garden has well marked easy trails. Bring your mono/tripod and favorite camera lenses for a wide variety of photographic opportunities. It is easy to spend the day at Gibbs and not see everything. Restrooms are available in the garden at the front entrance and at the Manor House.
LUNCH: we’ll be meeting for lunch at the Arbor Café around noon, same place we congregate to start the day.
