Special Event Workshop with Chris Greer

Join NGPC for a Special Event Workshop with professor, best-selling author, and photographer Chris Greer at Hurricane Shoals Park, 416 Hurricane Shoals Road, Maysville, GA.

This workshop will give participants a chance to photograph a variety of subjects and geographical features, all in a single location. Starting at an assortment of historical cabins, barns, and a beautiful church, we will examine compositions and using natural light to create photos with impact. Later we will walk down to the tumbling shoals of the North Oconee River which offers a variety of compositions. Participants are encouraged to bring a tripod, polarizer, and an ND filter if available. After the photography is over, we will set up in one of the shelters for an editing session. Chris will talk about a variety of editing techniques that help focus the eye on the subject while preserving color and clarity. Lightroom will primarily be used, however if there is time Chris will demonstrate some of his workflow in Photoshop as well. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops to participate in the editing, and Chris will answer questions throughout the workshop.

The price of this special event workshop is $20 and will be limited to 15 NGPC members. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. The deadline to reserve your spot is Friday, May 14th.
