NGPC November Meeting: Advanced and Alternate Composition

November 18, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for our November meeting at our new home – the Bowen Center for the Arts! Yes, we will be in person again at the Bowen, 334 GA-9, Dawsonville, GA. Parking is very limited, so you will need to park next door to the Bowen in the Dawson County Junior High parking lot. And for those who are unable to attend the meeting, we will also be broadcasting live on Zoom. Use this link to join the meeting.
Our speaker will be professional photographer Chuck Murphy, who will be discussing “Advanced and Alternate Composition.” Are you happy with your photos? Are you confident that the shots you’re making and sharing are the best you’re capable of? If so, great – There’s no need to attend this session! However, if you’re open to considering some new options, join Chuck for a review of the classic composition tips, followed by some suggestions and examples for new and interesting ways to help ensure your photos earn that critical “second look.” Chuck’s presentation is highly interactive, so if you’re able to attend in person instead of just by Zoom, you’ll have a better chance to comment, critique, and contribute.”
Chuck has been an avid photographer for over five decades. His photo expeditions have taken him on trips around the world and to all seven continents. He has previously taught over 35 photography courses for OLLI@UGA, UGA-Continuing Education, the Georgia State Botanical Garden and other groups, as well as speaking at four photography clubs in north Georgia. He founded OLLI’s PictureThis! photography club and ran it for 8 years. His photos have been published in the Athens Banner Herald, the Jackson Herald, Popular Photography and Outdoor Photographer magazines, and in the National Wildlife Federation magazine, calendar, and holiday greeting card set.
